Individual visual requirements and social trends influence the choice of lenses. With our progressive lens portfolio, ZEISS offers a complete solution for every customer.
ZEISS Progressive Precision Lenses are available in 4 different designs according to the technologies that are incorporated into these lenses:
Increasing use of digital devices, changing fashion trends and arising patient needs – creating challenges for our eyes, frame choice and lifestyle. ZEISS actively responds to these in order to provide better vision.
Fast, dynamic eye movements from near to far all day long. The reading distance with digital devices is closer than with books or any other print media.
Frame fashion changes all the time – from big to small frames and vice versa. This needs to be considered when creating a progressive lens, so the eye movement behaviour doesn’t have to adapt every time a new frame is bought.
The uniqueness of a spectacle wearer’s face can influence the vision through a lens. If the lens is not fitted to the physiological face parameters (e.g. position of the pupil behind the lens or the fit of the frame on the nose and the ears), one might not be able to explore full potential of 3D vision which is important for good perception of distances.
More and more people want to have a tailor-made solution and a lens which is optimised for their daily activities (e.g. prolonged reading, driving, office work) as they want to have the best solution.
With the ZEISS Progressive Lenses Precision Portfolio, ZEISS responds to the different trends and arising consumer needs – in order to provide better vision.
There are four levels of customisation available:
Optimised for the eyes + frame: lenses that consider closer reading distance for digital devices and also fashion frame trends that are constantly evolving with new shapes and sizes. Fast adaptation to the lenses – in any frame.
Optimised for the eyes + frame: lenses that consider closer reading distance for digital devices and also fashion frame trends that are constantly evolving with new shapes and sizes. Fast adaptation to the lenses – in any frame.
Optimised for the eyes + frame + face: Lenses that consider digital device reading distance, fashionable frames and provides a design which can be physiologically fitted to the wearer’s face to provide full vision potential.
4 out of 5 progressive lens wearers show high interest in ZEISS Precision Progressive lenses.
ZEISS Precision for sharp vision thanks to high precision gained from advanced eye-modelling research, with point-by-point calculation and advanced freeform production.
ZEISS Design Philosophy for Strain-free and dynamic vision with fast focus in any distance and direction.
A higher level of UV protection, which enables clear ZEISS lenses to block harmful UV rays up to 400 nm. This is the same standard of UV protection premium sunglasses provide.
ZEISS Lens Aesthetics for best balance between optics and thin and lightweight lenses.
This technology enables relaxed and sharper vision during frequent usage of digital devices. This rapid transition to the near zone allows customers to view digital devices with minimal head/eye movement.
Matches the unique facial anatomy for full potential of lens zones.
Optimised lens performance in any frame.
Takes into account the eye declination (vertical eye movement behaviour). It compares the previous frame with the new fitting height and addition power in order to create a convenient eye declination and near zone location.
IndividualFitTM Technology takes into account the individual’s main daily activities and provides a choice of three lens designs to suit the wearer’s needs: Near design, Intermediate design or Balanced design.
Luminance DesignTM Technology factors in an average pupil size of 3.3 mm. It calculates the lens design bundle by bundle for more natural vision.
