Digital Lenses

People wearing ZEISS Digital Lenses alternate fixation from near to far nearly twice as many times in 2 minutes compared with wearing their habitual correction. The solution for relaxed and clear vision while working on smartphones and other digital devices are available in two different design levels:

  • ZEISS Digital Lenses
  • ZEISS Digital Individual Lenses

Why did ZEISS develop the Digital Lenses?

Addressing the visual challenges of the digital world.

75 %

of computer users may experience a variety of vision related symptoms, including eye strain, headache, blurred near vision and post-work distance blur. As well as neck or shoulder pain due to viewing related postural adjustments.1

4.5 Billion

people are using the internet as at the start of 2020.2

5.19 Billion

more than 5.19 billion people now use mobile phones, with user numbers up by 124 million over the past year.3

Our ability to focus comfortably on mobile phones and digital devices for a prolonged time diminishes with age.

This is due to a progressive loss in the elasticity of the lens, eventually
resulting in presbyopia when the eye can no longer comfortably
sustain focus at the desired reading distance.

Lenses designed to support natural body postures, enabling wearers to experience stress- and strain-free vision.

  • Designed for all-day digital lifestyle, encouraging more relaxed and comfortable vision on mobile phones, digital devices and while being connected.
  • Optimised lens design delivers crystal clear vision for any RX.
  • Large viewing zones enable wearers to experience comfortable vision, matching visual behaviour they may be accustomed to, ensuring effortless adaptation.
  • Compressed intermediate zone facilitates a smoother transition between distance and near so that customers can view mobile phones and digital devices with minimal head/eye movement.
  • Variable near power delivers exactly what your customer needs.

Innovations behind ZEISS Digital Lenses

Technologies explained.

ZEISS Digital Inside Technology

ZEISS Digital Inside Technology enables relaxed and sharper vision during frequent usage of digital devices. This rapid transition to the near zone allows customers to view digital devices with minimal head/eye movement.

ZEISS FaceFit Technology

ZEISS Digital Individual Lenses incorporate ZEISS’s FaceFit Technology, customising lenses to match the physiology of the wearers face. This delivers optimised vision zones, using the frame data, the position of the eyes and the fit of the frames on the nose and ears. Customised lens solution for the eyes and face.

ZEISS UVProtect Technology

A higher level of UV protection, which enables clear ZEISS lenses to block harmful UV rays up to 400 nm. This is the same standard of UV protection as premium sunglasses.
