Investigating the leak: Using OCT and Fundus Photography (1 CET Point)

Fluid and haemorrhages are an important ophthalmic diagnostic sign for many underlying retinal disease processes. The location, size, and distribution of fluid and haemorrhages provide clues to uncovering principle systemic disorders such as Diabetes, Age-Related Macular Degeneration (ARMD), Hypertension, Central Serous retinopathy (CSR) and many other retinal conditions.

This webinar will deliver key clinical insights into the role of OCT and fundus photography for optometry practices and how to accurately diagnose and distinguish haemorrhages and different types of fluid including Intra retinal, Sub retinal, Sub-RPE, Sub-Hyaloid and Vitreous haemorrhages.

Case scenarios and College of Optometrists guidelines will be presented to provide a more complete understanding of clinical conditions and their manifestations through a systematic methodology for evaluation of OCT scans, fundus photography and patient assessment, and why correct diagnosis and intervention is key in successful treatment pathways.
