ZEISS continues to expand its range of trail cameras and sets new standards in image quality and surveillance technology with the new ZEISS Secacam 3. With optimized image processing, improved motion detection, faster transmission and intuitive operation, the camera is an indispensable tool in any hunting ground.

With the new ZEISS Secacam 3, we have developed a game camera that perfectly meets the needs of hunters - whether in daylight or in the dark.

Carsten Hess Product Developer at ZEISS

Impressive image quality, especially in low light

A modern chip set enables optimized image processing and compression, for faster transmission times and detailed images even at night or in shaded areas. Thanks to the innovative H265 compression, the camera saves storage space without compromising on image or video quality.

Improved motion detection

The new PIR Fresnel lens of the ZEISS Secacam 3 increases the sensitivity of motion detection. Even the smallest movements or distant animals are reliably detected. The shiny lens surface ensures more precise focusing of infrared light and reduces scattering losses. This enables precise monitoring, even in remote or densely overgrown areas.

Great user-friendly design

“Simple and efficient mounting of the wildlife camera was a key focus during development,” emphasizes Hess. The camera's tilting 1.9-inch display offers a live image display with which can be checked directly whether the selected image frame is optimal. A new “TEST button” also allows a test photo to be taken quickly and sent directly to a smartphone via the ZEISS Secacam app. This allows the camera's mobile connection to be tested quickly and easily. Valuable accessories that are perfectly tailored to the Secacam 3 further enhance user-friendliness.

The app also offers AI-based animal recognition, which identifies animals in the images. With the “Colour the Night” feature, night shots are recoloured to obtain detailed images even in the dark. These functions are only available in combination with a subscription package.

The hunting ground always in focus - with optimized transmission capability

Equipped with a powerful LTE module, the Secacam 3 guarantees fast and stable transmission of images and videos, even in weak network conditions. Thanks to this optimized technology, the camera significantly reduces energy consumption and therefore extends battery life.
The included multi-network SIM automatically selects the strongest available network at the location and enables cost-effective image transmission within the EU and Switzerland.

Prices and availability

The new ZEISS Secacam 3 will be available from January 28, 2025 at an RRP of €129.99 from specialist retailers as well as in the online store in over 35 countries in Europe including Switzerland, Norway and the UK.
