Key Features

Compact and Lightweight

The ZEISS LWZ.3 zoom lens is robust and reliable, and offers you superior performance. Whether you are shooting a short film, soap opera, feature film or a run-and-gun documentary - even in the most difficult conditions, the ZEISS LWZ.3 lens is a trustworthy and powerful companion.

Interchangeable Mount

The ZEISS LWZ.3 is equipped with an easy-to-operate, interchangeable mount system. It enables you to switch quickly from a typical cine-style PL-mount to four other mounts (Canon EF, Nikon F, Sony E, MFT). A truly great feature that promises a flexible and future-proof investment.

Made With Quality In Mind

An innovative and sophisticated design results in a tremendously lightweight lens, still accompanied by the outstanding optical performance you are familiar with. Shots will stand out with pin-sharp structures, vibrant colours, high contrast and lovely bokeh - all producing the cinematic look you require.

Freedom In Harsh Conditions

On a bustling set, you’ll definitely appreciate the cine-style ergonomics of the ZEISS LWZ.3. A rugged, splash-proof housing gives you enough freedom even in ambitious shooting conditions - both indoors and outdoors. The robust gears and fixed gear positions allow you to easily attach follow focus or wireless control systems.

One Lens For All Your Needs - A Wide Scope Of Usability

With its focal length range from between 21 and 100 mm, you have a wide scope of choice to select the perfect angle and the ability of capturing a unique moment any second, without the time consuming procedure of changing lenses.

The Circle

ZEISS LWZ.3 21-100mm

The film The Circle is about a man from Germany who has lived in the Alps for his entire life. Even as a kid, he dreamed about defying gravity and has since made his ambition a reality by becoming a glider pilot. Flying is his life, and being up in the air gives him perspective on what is most important.

The film was shot entirely using the ZEISS Lightweight Zoom LWZ.3 21-100mm/T2.9-T3.9 on a Sony FS 7, by a very small crew of four people over just three days. With the limited space in the helicopter used for shooting the film, this shows the lenses versatility and demonstrates what you can achieve with just one lens. Special thanks to Cinematographer Adi Geissegger.
