ZEISS acknowledges the UK Government's Modern Slavery Act 2015 which requires certain businesses to provide disclosure concerning their efforts, if any, to address the issues of slavery and human trafficking in their supply chains. The disclosures are intended to provide consumers the ability to make better, more informed choices about the products and services they buy and companies they support.
ZEISS is committed to maintaining and improving systems and processes to avoid complicity in human rights violations related to our operations, our supply chain and our products. ZEISS realises that slavery and human trafficking can occur in many forms, such as forced labour, child labour, workplace abuse. The term 'Slavery and Human Trafficking' encompass these various forms of coerced labour.
ZEISS is committed to transparency on topics regarding the Modern Slavery Act. ZEISS’s public transparency statement that fulfils the requirements of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 will be published in accordance to the government-established timeline i.e. within six months of the end of the ZEISS Group's current financial year, which ends on 30th September 2016.
