Meet Our Ambassador

Louise Minchin

ZEISS Vision Care UK & Ireland is absolutely delighted to announce that Louise Minchin is our optical ambassador for 2022.

We’ve teamed up with Louise, the well-known and respected broadcaster, podcaster and athlete to really explore the benefits of ZEISS lenses. She’ll be sharing her life with us as she explores how ZEISS lenses help her in her day to day, as well as taking on some epic physical challenges.

Louise admits to being a huge fan of ZEISS.

I have always perceived ZEISS to be the best at what they do, having had a pair of binoculars in the past that were phenomenal. So, to now be able to work with such a tour de force in the optical world is really exciting. I am always on the go and like to challenge myself regularly so I’m looking forward to being able to test my new lenses through every facet of my life from writing my new book to taking part in grueling triathlons.

We can’t wait to share Louise’s journey with ZEISS’ award-winning lenses on our social channels over the coming months.

About Louise

Louise is a well-known and respected broadcaster and journalist having presented the UK’s most watched breakfast programme BBC Breakfast on BBC One for 20 years.

She’s a regular on our TV screens and recently took on the might of the Welsh weather in ITV’s I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here.

Louise’s new Podcast #PushYourPeak focuses on athletes pushing what is humanly possible which, for Louise, mirrors her ongoing passion for endurance challenges. Having qualified for the GB Team age-group race in 2015, Louise has since raced in five World and European Championships and has gone on to compete in extreme triathlons including one of the toughest triathlons in the world, Norseman in 2019.

When she’s not taking on extreme challenges, the mum of two is writing her second book, ‘Adventures With Superwomen’ in which she sets out to meet women taking on some of the toughest challenges in sport.
